Google AdSense Account Disabled? Here is How to Appeal
Waking up to an email saying "Your Google AdSense account has been disabled" is a nightmare. But don't panic. If you were banned for invalid traffic, you have one chance to appeal. Here is how to do it right.

The Golden Rule of Appeals
You usually only get one chance to appeal. Do not fill out the appeal form immediately in a panic. Take 48 hours to investigate your server logs and Google Analytics to find out exactly what happened.
Step 1: Identify the Cause (Invalid Traffic)
The vast majority of account suspensions are due to "Invalid Click Activity." This happens when:
- You clicked on your own ads (even accidentally).
- You asked friends, family, or social media followers to click your ads to "support" you.
- You bought cheap traffic from Fiverr or shady traffic exchanges.
- A competitor used a bot to spam click your ads to get you banned (click bombing).
Step 2: Gather Evidence
If you were click-bombed, you need proof. Go to your server logs or Cloudflare dashboard and look for IP addresses that generated hundreds of clicks in a short period. Export this data to a spreadsheet. Google wants to see that you understand how the invalid traffic occurred.
Step 3: Write the Appeal (The Right Way)
When filling out the official AdSense Invalid Activity Appeal form, follow this structure:
1. Be Honest and Take Responsibility
If you bought traffic or clicked your own ads, admit it. Apologize and state you didn't fully understand the policies. If you lie, the system will reject you immediately.
2. Explain the Traffic Source
Provide exact URLs of where you promote your site (Facebook groups, Reddit, SEO). Attach the IP logs if you suspect sabotage.
3. Detail Your Preventative Measures
Explain exactly what changes you have made. E.g., "I have installed a click-fraud prevention plugin (like AdSense Invalid Click Protector) and blocked the malicious IP ranges in Cloudflare."

What If the Appeal is Rejected?
If your appeal is denied, that AdSense account is permanently closed. Furthermore, you cannot create a new AdSense account under your name or address. Your options are to pivot to other ad networks like Ezoic or Mediavine, use affiliate marketing, or register a new business entity with a completely separate identity and bank account.
